As Linus once said : “Gee, do they still make wooden Christmas trees ?”.

We will have to go back to real trees as plastic is being scaled back (at last).

So, as long as it looks similar to a real tree then it qualifies!

Buy a tree now and it’ll be a bone dry fire hazard by Christmas.

The aluminized mylar tree with color filter spot light is now a classic

My mom tried having a real tree one year. The clean up and disposal was a hassle so we went back to the realish ones. We kids didn’t care. Xmas was always awesome.

Real-ish. When I was a kid we had a war-time Christmas tree. It had green paper “needles” attached to heavy wire branches. The truck was a long dowel rod. Some sort of tape had been wrapped around the truck and the ends of the branches were tucked under the tape. When you stood it on its head, all of the branches folded down and you stored the tree by slipping it in a long cardboard tube. When you were ready to set it up, you pulled it out of the tube, banged the bottom on the floor and all of the branches opened out. We got our first real tree when I was ten; our parents gave me sister and me old tree to put up in the basement play area. By that time the green paper had faded to yellow.

Too early for a CHRISTmass tree. Ours in fiber optic, wait until after Thanksgiving. Real trees do not last long.

December, Tannenbaum! November is all about Turkey Day (i.e. Thanksgiving Day), so get back in the forest and wait your turn!
