As a youngster I used to pop large bubbles and get gum all over my face, in my hair and eyebrows etc. My aunt used to remove it with cigarette lighter fluid.
actually, ice water is one way used to get gum from hair. It hardens the gum and it becomes brittle. A better way is peanut butter. The oils break down the gum and it becomes a gooey mess that isn’t sticky. You can wash it out. Don’t know if either method will work on this super gum
One time in high school some kids sitting behind me in music class put a huge wad of gum in my hair, right at the top of my neck. I had waist-length hair and was devastated. When I got home, my grandmother sat me down, took some ice, and rubbed and rubbed and rubbed…and got every little bit of gum out. I shampooed and wore my hair down the next day so that they could see that they didn’t succeed. Their expressions when I walked into music class: priceless.
