Amusingly enough, a porcupine in my mother tongue, Malayalam, translates back into English as “thorny pig”!

I always thought Porky Pig should have been named “Pour Quoi Pig.”

Porcupine is rather tasty, better than possum.

And what is wrong with porcupine.. In fact in days of old.. it was considered bad form to kill one.. the idea being that if you were ever lost and desperate.. they.. the porcupine.. was easy to kill and eat.
