Amusingly enough, a porcupine in my mother tongue, Malayalam, translates back into English as “thorny pig”!
I always thought Porky Pig should have been named “Pour Quoi Pig.”
Porcupine is rather tasty, better than possum.
Probably as well he didn’t see the label, “Pork Butt.”
Next time, stick a LOT of toothpicks in the pork. Heh. Heh. Hehhhhhh.
And what is wrong with porcupine.. In fact in days of old.. it was considered bad form to kill one.. the idea being that if you were ever lost and desperate.. they.. the porcupine.. was easy to kill and eat.
old time mountain men ate porcupine, along with other animals.
