No Ramirez, see what’s now Prison Reform is to privatize prisons so that the government shovels money to the private companies who, in turn, shovel it back to Trump and Republicans in the form of ‘campaign contributions’.
.
It’s amusing that a Trump Disciple cartoonist who supports the most crime ridden presidency in history, would admonish other to stop committing crime.
You basic Republican expertise of projecting their own characteristics on to others.
Ramirez doesn’t seem to be aware of the number of people that have been exonerated due to DNA testing. And there is an epidemic of people pleading guilty because their lame lawyer says that even if they are innocent, they will likely be convicted and their sentence will be outrageous. This is particularly terrible for non-violent drug offenses because of the idiotic “tough on crime” mandatory sentencing laws.
“The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.”—Anatole France
The law may equally forbid the rich and the poor from stealing, but the rich get away with it more often. Because they’re the “best” people. Just ask them, they’ll tell you so.
So… you are claiming that our people commit crimes at a much higher rate than people in other countries? We have the highest incarceration rate in the world. Are we actually THAT bad?

So if you commit a crime, the state is allowed to treat you any way it wishes or turn you over to a for-profit prison to do the same?
Really, sir? REALLY?
