I fear it doesn’t matter one whit what Kavanaugh says to the Senate … his rulings have already been bought-and-paid for. So no matter how he answers, what he’ll do once he’s seated is already understood, else he would have never been nominated to begin with. :-\
Ruth, John: Explain to us the rationale for stare decisis in cases where U.S. justices have a long tradition of upholding unjust laws and unrighteous court decisions?
The futility of expecting that “this time it will be different” is what instills apathy in the adverage American voter….. Remember in November……..we need a tsunami at the polls to get our already great America back!!!!!!!!!!
GOP Congressmen are being indicted, the resident is under investigation and the GOP changes the Senate rules to force through a right-wing ideologue to destroy healthcare for women.
Brian is totally mistaken on the first Supreme Court and precedent. That court had the best precedents – the new Constitution of the United Stated of America, the voluminous legislative history leading to its adoption, and the long set precedents of English Common Law implied by the Bill of Rights. Justice Ginsburg probably overturned as many long-set precedents as she supported.

Trump Disciples now believe the only criterion for supreme court justice is making abortion illegal.
Subservience to Trump, is a given, of course.

Nonsense. The first Supreme Court had all of British Common Law as precedent, going back even beyond Magna Carta.
