Back when Styx’s “Mr. Roboto” tour was on, my husband & I were going in with another couple to rent a limo & make an evening of it. The other couple ended up ripping us off. I was leaving work when they came up to me to talk as my husband pulled up to pick me up. I gave them a thorough chewing out, and I was going to dramatically open the car door, get in, slam it, and say, “Let’s go.” As I went to open the door, I discovered – too late – that it was still locked! In Lucy’s words, “That ruined a dramatic exit.” (Side note: the window was down; if I had just looked, I could have pulled the button & done what I had planned.)
There used to be lots of movies with roller derbies – even some TV shows spotlighted the sport. Right now there are over 2,000 amateur leagues worldwide and it was considered for the summer 2017 olympic games.

The Spanish version doesn’t even TRY to translate “Roller Derby.” Lucy is leaving “hacer esqui sobre pasto,” or “to ski on grass.”
