When I was a kid my bedroom closet door wouldn’t stay closed. It would swing slowwwwwly open in the dark. Guess who spent a LOT of time under the bedclothes.
For a moment I though the baby was actually speaking and was saying “Back?” As in “Back already?”
At my childhood home, the monsters had a winter-home in our furnace…
When I was very young I was afraid of Jack Frost nipping my toes off!
It looks like it would go “schlorp” in the night. Not a comfortable sound to hear!
