If there had been ginormous corporate elitists profiting to the tune of billions of dollars a day off having those kids stay in the cave, they would still be there.
Instead of working to a common purpose like a great nation, we have divided into ideology based tribes that have lost all objectivity and would rather destroy the place where they live than work together with others. The world’s conservatives understand the importance of reversing climate change and conserving the earth but not America’s so-called conservatives. The world’s liberals strive for fairness and against inequity while America’s so-called liberals seem surprised that the undereducated that they deride does not like them. If we don’t care enough to elect representative willing to compromise and unite — bringing us out of the darkness — our history will end when the cave floods while we sit there with our backs to each other.
