    @BE THIS GUY: Reading signs on a highway is the next best thing to reading directions before you start some project at home. Apparently, something that Is Not Done…

    People with a GPS don’t look at road signs or street numbers on houses or buildings. They rather trust a disembodied voice in a little box than their own eyes.

    I’ve had GPS steer me wrong enough times so that I just plan my route before the trip from maps or from explicit oral directions from someone who knows, and I write it out very clearly via computer and printer. I do not trust GPS directions!
