It was a sad period of time in the 70’s when suddenly Bumper Car operations turned into a one-way oval track and discouraged collisions with stopped cars. They were apparently fearing law suits for injuries. From what I see, that has mostly given way to the old days again of “ride at your own risk.”

In one once, didn’t like, but they were a great hit at Funland. Ah, the memories. All were sad to see Funland close and still speak fondly of it.

When me and my brother were little we used to call them “mouse cars”.
