Interesting. Normally, in a US cartoon whenever a picture of the earth is shown they use one with the American continents on them. Not this time, this one shows Africa, Europe and parts of Asia.

I thought it seemed a little hairy out there this morning. But, thanks Hammy, I needed a hug and the world definitely does.

Hawaii seems to be getting all the love. Maybe Hammy can smother out the volcano.

It is said that when the angels saw the Earth they shouted out for joy at its beauty. One day I had spent considerable time on one of my favorite sites, the NASA site of pictures from the various eyes-in-the-sky out there. When I had drunk in much of the truly awesome beauty of the stars, nebulae, galaxies far, far away suddenly a picture of Earth popped up. I was instantly in tears. Its beauty, so kindly and welcoming after the grandeur outside, said HOME like nothing else could. Its beauty was like nothing else I had been looking at, and it absolutely shouted, “LIFE!” I agree with those angels. So, give ’er one for me, Hammy!
