When I was a kid and started cartooning I couldn’t figure out how the cartoonists knew exactly how big to draw the balloon to fit the words. For some reason I thought you drew the balloon first then put the words in. Of course that didn’t work out very well, I never got it right and then one day it dawned on me… write the words THEN draw the balloon around it. Duh! :)
