A friend who is in his 80s rejected one choice of coffee shop to meet up in because “It’s always full of senior citizens. They gab for hours and hog the tables.”
I used to know two cyclists around Frank’s age, and I asked each separately why they didn’t ride together. They both said, “I don’t like him, he’s weird.”
Reminds me of my mother in law. When ever she goes to an event at her 55+ community, she always says, “Everybody there was so old!” Herself not included, of course. :)
I’ve reached the shrinking stage of my life. I noticed I’m having trouble reaching the latch at the top of the shed. It’s always been a stretch, but now I must be wearing shoes, stand on my tiptoes and reach as far as I can. Even then, it’s touch and go. Measured myself at work and I’m now 5’ 1/2". Used to be 5’ 1 1/2. Guess I’d better get a couple of pavers to make a step for the shed.

I was sitting in a bar just the other day when I noticed two old guys watching the Giants game.
Then I thought “hey wait, I’m probably older than either of them.”
At which point I ordered another beer.

Made it to 66, which is 18 years older than my dad was when he died and 17 years older than my brother at his death.

Old age seems to a common theme in todays comics. This is the third one, so far, that the subject came up.
