I’m an engineer with an autistic spectrum disorder, why is it that I can see why a nonhuman sapient would consider “The Velveteen Rabbit” offensive and Tip doesn’t? The story seems to suggest that the best path to happiness for nonhumans is to seek the the “love” of human beings. While I think getting along with others is a good thing, and I’m generally in favor of love, I feel its foolish to base one’s happiness on the love of others.

Toxic Swamp is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. But, it left me drained.

Tip’s generality in panel 4 seem unfair; I’m sure many sapient non-humans have a much better grasp of “common sense” than Unity and K.T.
