Most of what you’re eating would be carbon, so just ask for a bunch of graphite sticks from the art store and chew on those. (It’s easier on the teeth than diamonds.)
Really, though, it’s better in the long run to draw the line at molecules rather than atoms. I know salt has more flavor than you like, but if you try to eat the sodium without the chlorine (or vice versa) you won’t like the results.
