Last year Free Range strip had a scene of a bus with everyone looking at a cell phone except one person reading a book. A cop with raised gun said: “whatever it is..lower it slowly”.
When I go pick my son up from school I take my Kindle and I get looks all the time from other parents as I’m the only person reading a book while waiting. The looks range from curiosity to almost shock. A few parents have even gone as far as casually looking over my shoulder to see what I was up to. Maybe making sure I wasn’t using the camera or some creepy thing like that. I have the camera covered over with tape so no chance of that.
