Virtually every law enforcement agency in the world separates parents from children when the parent commits a crime and goes to lail.

^And that makes it OK? Because everyone else does it? Is that the same reasoning that we should use torture? And that we should not honor our treaties? A sterling moral code you have there…

So, you think it is a good idea to keep the kids with the parents when the parents are being confined in the same place with MS13, drug smugglers, coyotes and other criminals? Why not just toss them in with the known sex offenders and avoid the delay?

I thought Christians believed in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes. I guess I was wrong. It looks like we are not really a Christian country. We have become the lowest of the low.

We have definitely failed our forefathers and their visions for the Great Experiment of a Democratic Republic.

So much easier and cheaper to just boot them back across the border. I mean literally. Just turn them around, put a boot in the rump and eject them.

The Mexican government allowed the CA and SA illegals to enter and cross their entire country, so let them take care of the “refugees”.

Yes, children are to be separated from their lawbreaking parents. Like during the Textile Strike of 1912 in Lawrence, Ma. As things heated up between Capital and Labor, the strikers were sending their children out of the strife stricken city via rail to extended family members elsewhere. The State of Massachusetts seized the children at the railroad station for “their safety.” The children taken gave the state another bargaining chip when dealing with the strikers. This is one way of dealing with strikers, dissidents, unpopular groups of people.

And then Trump wanted Congress to cut 700 million from children’s progams.

And several billion from the Federal Retirement System.

Because the 1% need to pay fewer taxes.

Apologies for the repeat post, but… Please take a gander at the post by SHELLUSA on Matt Davies, May 9, end to the thread, and flag it as I did for blatantly racist comment. Oh, and Dag chimed in that it’s perfectly OK to refer to Obama as a monkey. Shall I go on?

Its funny to read all the bleeding heart comments. I invite each you to sponsor a “refugee” family in your home. Stand up and sign up. For the children.

You see, there are several groups who are persuading foreign nationals to come to our border and plead for asylum. The parents are coached on exactly what to say to ICE and how to say it. When the right phrases are used, officials have no choice but to allow the family in to wait for a formal hearing.

We all know, and the “immigrants” know as well, that it is extremely unlikely they will be granted asylum of refugee status. They simply do not qualify. Its not about bigotry or hatred or any other nefarious motive. They don’t meet the standard. And they know they will be returned home.

The old system, catch and release, allowed the family to be released into the country with a hearing date in the future. Recog, no bond required. Unfortunately, fewer than 20% ever bother to appear. The rest just disappear into the illegal population.

So, the new method requires that families be held rather than released. If the family unit facilities are full, the parents are separated and held in gender segregated facilities and the children are housed with volunteer “foster” families. You wouldn’t want the kids housed with all those adult singles, would you?

I don’t understand all the angst and hand wringing. Instead of being held in spartan facilities, mixed in with MS13 suspects, coyotes, drug mules and a cornucopia of other criminals, the children are housed with caring compassionate people who protect and care for them during the hearing process their parents are legally required to undergo to seek their dream.

So don’t whine. Step up. Volunteer. Become an “asylum foster parent”.
