It’s your own fault for letting them onto the bed. Ours were given beds on the floor beside.

Different families, different rules. Sofas, chairs and beds were out of bond to dogs. They had their own comfortable beds. Of course, we knew that the moment we left the house the bed or sofa would be occupied, but while we were in the house the rules were the rules. Though I suspect my husband played fast and loose with them when I was not there. :D

When I go to bed and the cat is on my side, I say “I’m going to kick the cat.” The cat walks to the vanity, waits for me to get in bed, and curls up next to us,

    Sweetheart is my baby.

She sits on the couch with me, she sleeps with me.

I wouldn’t have it any other way.

When asked (during the adoption process) where our dog would sleep, our reply was “anywhere he wants to”. Of course, he doesn’t shed and he is only 10 pounds, but we once had a forty pounder who had the same privileges!

Our dog didn’t sleep on the bed until the pet sitter told her she could.

Listen to the overnight BBC News. It masks the noise and is more somnolent than morphine.

It’s not so much that end that makes the problems, if you know what I mean!

All of our animals slept with us. However, now we are “petless” but since I was a 50s child, loved the ocean, sun etc. I am now paying for it with the “barnacles of life” and I scratch many nights.
