And freshly laundered, wrinkled clothes form a closet never bothers you, Earl? I’m sure it bothers Opal a WHOLE lot. After all that work she doers gone to waste!
I don’t mind washing or drying. I’m still coming to terms with folding (and it helps that I’ve mastered the two-second t-shirt fold that you can find demonstrated on YouTube).
I learned the quick shirt fold approximately 65 yrs ago when I had a Christmas job at Dillard’s in the mens dept. People would (and I guess still do)unfold shirts and then throw them back on the display. It was my job to refold them and I learned to do it pretty quickly.I was trying to work my way through college!
This got me really laughing. I do all the machine washing. line drying, and folding at our house.
I put all my clothes away where they belong.
It is my dear wife who will stuff her things in drawers and forget where she put ‘em.
As I write, there’s a neatly folded pile of her clean clothes sitting on the bed, awaiting her attention. I am betting myself, that they wont be put away, until tonight,( hastily…ala Earl. ) !
The Late and Unlamented was great at his passive-aggressive routine. When I was recovering with our second child I sent him to the laundry, and told him that if he grabbed Frist Child’s dresses out of the dryer right away, and shook them, they wouldn’t need to be ironed. He did so – and then piled all the rest of the laundry on top of them, so they needed to be ironed anyway.

My uncles has the same philosophy. If you miss it up bad enough the first time, they’ll never want you to do it again.

Judging by my grandson I’d say that Earl is just a kid at heart.

Earl just hates doing any kind of, what he considers, women’s work.

The folding is what gets me! I can put it away just fine, but it will probably be folded wrong!

Never trust Earl to do a job. Opal should know better.

Why is no one complaining about the shortening of this strip? Why do they keep doing this week after week?
