Bungee cords. Why did it have to be bungee cords?
I am Australian. My worst experience is an Eastern-Brown snake go over my boots (I was still in them). One of the top 10 most deadly snakes in the world. Let it go on it’s way. Nothing particularly abnormal.
Don’t worry, there are signs on the trail to remind you to avoid snakes in case you forget your snake bite kit. Don’t pet the snakes!
