@SAY WHAT NOW‽-Exactly! Apparently they don’t understand that anything taken out of context is the same thing as a lie of omission which = a BIG FAT LIE! Reminds me of when Kellyann “The Con” Conway tried to convince us that bald faced lies were just “alternative facts”.
At the rate Republicans are deciding not to run again, and considering that what they had was apparently the best they could find before, I don’t know if they can find anything better than Trump to run in 2020. And, even he can’t be deluded enough to think he can win ( that’s a Colbert just kidding).
Innuendo, and now outright lies and directed vulgar insults can be used when you have no proactive agenda of your own to run on. The opportunities to advance that the middle class once had have been diminished, almost to the vanishing point, by the (supply-side economics) redistribution of wealth to the 1% … and those that point that out are called envious. The poor are called lazy and the immigrants are called job thieves. Decades have passed, for either or both parties to alter the course, but they have not, They have been focusing on reelection, acquiring personal wealth, taking care of the needs of their sponsors, and tossing a few crumbs at their base while ignoring the common good of the majority. Karl Rove and Lee Atwater have shown, quite dramatically, that you can win with dirty tricks and alt-realities. Nunes seems to be heading in that direction also. As long as the majority of eligible voters say home, (about 15% don’t even register) the extremists can run and win as their 25-30% bases buy into the propaganda and vote reliably.
I’ve noticed that the various conservs (A the Grape, etc) are not on any of the many comics I read except for progressive political cartoons. They only are on GC to rant.

Evil, but too stupid to lie in a rational and consistent way … Putin must be shaking his head at these Trumpista amateurs …

This caricature reminds me of some classic cartoons of Richard Nixon and McCarthy by Herblock. And the relationship is more than skin deep…

No, see, whatever Bill did with Monica cancels out collusion with Russia.
It also cancels out the invasion of Iraq.

None of these right wing morons actually read Patel’s memo, no wonder they are failing so badly, very sad America is stuck with these goons.

Lies are all the republicans have left. They know this, so they lie together.
