Why would evangelicals care if someone else had an affair it isn’t like he is a Clinton! Their bible taught them let he who is without sin throw the first stone, unless they are Democrats, Mexicans, women, blacks, poor or anywhere out-side of a womb.

Actually, as an old progressive that was raised in the South I have a rather more specific paranoid view of WHY evangelicals are not condemning Donnie, but DID condemn Hillary and Barack for ALL the nation’s ills including bad weather. You see, to my mind, it has little to do with their politics and everything to do with WHAT they ARE. Hillary, of course, was a female who “didn’t know her place”, refused to “cleave” to her husband, and was trying to “act like a man”! And let’s just say that Barack didn’t have that ruddy orange ‘glow’ that Donnie has. There is a reason why “bigoted, racist, misogynistic Democrat” is usually considered an oxymoron and also why “bigoted, racist, misogynistic Republican” is usually considered a redundancy. (of course, as a Progressive, I might be just the littlest bit biased, but I truly do believe in BODYSKU! "By Our Deeds, Ye Shall Know Us!

Next up: Trumps shoots someone at random on 5th Avenue.

Fox reports that it was a New Yorker and in all likelihood was a Democrat and therefore had it coming.

    Evangicals send money.

Stupid is as stupid does… Think of Christianity as mass stupidity…… How does someone give “a mulligan” to someone’s life that has been devoted to perversion and money-grabbing? If Jesus was alive today, he would hang his head in shame that anyone would pervert his teachings to such a degree that there is an excuse for every cruel and evil thing that is being done in his name

“Religion” is the SINGLE GREATEST EVIL in the history of the world. PERIOD! MORE people have died in the name of “God”, or “Allah” or “Yahweh” or whatever other totally made-up deity some group of fanatics dreamed up to control the illiterate peasants of the time, and to keep themselves in power then for ANY OTHER REASON!

Remember Rush Limbaugh, during the Clinton administration, screaming about the depravity of Clinton’s sexual “deviancy”, and declaring that he wasn’t fit to govern because “character matters”? Apparently, character doesn’t matter any more.

I figured something out the other night. Trump always demands non-disclosure agreements from his paramours (for lack of a better word). Why? Not to keep the liaison a secret, because he likes to parade his purchases — excuse me, his conquests — in the media, going so far as to call reporters and tell them how great a lover he is.

The answer is simple: He wants to be the only one who can talk about it. Gee, what do you think he is afraid they would say…? Perhaps what we know Ms. Daniels already said, that he was “ordinary” and used “one position,” and perhaps something about his hand size…?

Evangelicals have been political opportunists for ages. No surprise except how easily they voted for a pedophile over a Democrat. No need to pay an iota to them.

Sorry, NO true Christian can be supporting Trump by this time. The “evangelicals” claim the Ten Commandments aren’t the “Ten Suggestions”, but cover Trump who considers them the “Ten nuisances to be ignored, or violated”.

Yes there are real Christians. These are people who seek to live as Jesus taught, people who try to treat others the way they would like to be treated. This is not to say anyone is perfect but I have known many people who really try to do the right thing and have love in their hearts for all of God’s people and creatures. Incidentally, they don’t generally brag about how good they are. You have to observe them and see how they treat others, including people who don’t look like them or are practicing a different religious belief. Also, as DTROUTMA says “NO true Christian can be supporting Trump by this time”.

Ok, I think a lot of the comments here are confused.A general lack of outrage over the charges does not, of course, mean that evangelicals suddenly approve of affairs or pornography. (Perhaps you’re thinking of leftist supporters of the Clintons? Hypocrisy much, feminists?)There are several good reason for minimal outrage at this time. I will list two:1) The affair is being alleged, and, over the course of the last several years and months especially, the public has—justifiably!—become very skeptical of news reporting that looks bad for Republicans and/or Trump. The media has disgraced itself repeatedly, and the public has become rightly skeptical of it (whether the claims turn out to be true or not).2) Evangelical support for Trump is essentially tied to his policies, which are seen to strengthen the country, bolster the economy, and defend their right to practice Christianity against the onslaught of secularists and SJW’s. Christians can support—even adore—the results of policies without necessarily condoning the morality of everything the politician does. Don’t believe me? Read the Bible: Judges 13-16, for ex, tells of Samson. Samson led the Israelites politically as a judge and engaged in all sorts of appalling behavior, including foolish impulsiveness, anger, violence including much killing, lusting after women, and even visiting a prostitute. Yet, God used the actions of this fallible man to bring glory to Himself and to deliver his people from oppression. Samson’s often foolish and selfish actions were used by God to benefit His people, even when people didn’t immediately realize this (cf. Judges 14:4). God is not limited to using holy and perfect people. (He used Nebuchadnezzar, for goodness sake!). God may use even the immoral and unholy in positions of political power to further His Kingdom and to protect His people. This is not Christian hypocrisy but divine sovereignty.

Twisted biblical thinking, as Trump isn’t leading us to the promised land, or heaven’s gates.

Twisted? :) No, it’s actually Biblical. Go read it, rather than relying on lazy stereotypes. There are plenty of examples. I’ll give you another: Isaiah 10:5-19 shows how God is willing to use the cruel and arrogant nation of Assyria to glorify Himself and bring about His purposes, even though Assyria itself doesn’t understand that it is doing that (v.7). In other words, God “uses” politics and worldly power for godly ends even when the one’s being used are not themselves particularly holy. God uses ambiguous and even unholy politics for His holy purposes, and Christians may have the same attitude toward it, “using” politics in service to a Kingdom that is not of this world. Sure, Trump isn’t bringing heaven on earth (I’ll leave that believe to leftists who idolize Marxist utopias), but he is bringing positive change for Christians and all Americans by his willingness to fight secular oppressors, whatever else his faults may be. Notice how he defended the Little Sisters of the Poor against the oppressiveness of the Obamacare mandate. Or how just recently he became the first sitting President—ever—to address the pro-life March for Life rally. Now, I happen to believe that George W. Bush is personally probably a more faithful Christian than Trump, but here Trump achieved something for life, morality, and Christian faith that even Bush was never bold enough to do. Trump is a sinner. And God uses sinners for His glory. I pray that He will continue doing so, blessing us beyond what we deserve.
