There was a character in several of Kenneth Robert’s books wh was usually called Cap Huff. At one point he explained that his name was Saved From Captivity Huff. I have no idea if there ever was such a name in history but it is hard to forget that one.
My favorite still is Nosmo King. His mom couldn’t speak English but wanted to give him an American name. She read it off a sign near the fire extinguisher.
