At least Nixon brought about the EPA and understood a fair amount about the international situation (eg., China policy), and I don’t remember racism being a big part of his manner. Not a nice guy, but at least intelligent.
I remember some of the White House tapes showing tricky dicks contempt for certain people. I don’t remember if they were racially directed but at least he kept his colorful language private and not in an open meeting.
I didn’t hear or see any racist comment. Save the slander for where it is deserved. Just because the party of racism (Democratic) calls something racist doesn’t make it so.

Nixon made cannabis a schedule one drug due to racism and not scientific reasons. Birther Trump is a documented racist.
