Really do mind if you sit this one out.

Our words but a whisper their deafness a SHOUT.

We may make you feel but we can’t make you think.

Our right’s in the balance, our ideals on the brink.

So we fool ourselves over the news and

We make all our stock market deals and

Our wise men don’t know how it feels

To be thick as a brick.

And the Founders fine virtues are all swept away

In the tidal destruction the moral melée.

The bombastic retweet rings the close of play

As the Russian wave uncovers the newfangled way.

But our best hopes are torn by the heels

And our weakest do rapidly kneel

Our wise men don’t know how it feels

To be thick as a brick.

And the love that we feel is so far away:

We’re a bad dream that we just had today

And we shake our heads and say it’s a shame

To be thick as a brick.

Hence, the internetztoobs fulfills a profound evolutionary purpose.

I’ll remember Winslow’s insult for future use, but I’ll also remember the response.
