Wait until retirement, you’ll have more time. But then you won’t have as much to talk about.

If you wait until retirement you’ll be too busy doing all the jobs you put off until retirement.

I don’t think I’ve ever wished away my children’s youth . . . just enjoy whatever stage they’re in now and learn to say “NO” now and again, Elly . .. smh

You’ve got all the time there is, how you spend it is up to you.

It can be very difficult to find a work/leisure balance when you are in the process of raising a family. Sometimes, friends fall by the wayside and are never recovered.

Interesting. Mothers who think they have less time because their kids are bigger. I think my parenting experience was pretty much the exact opposite of that. Toddlers are exhausting and require constant attention. The idea that you could just sit and watch them play sounds like a dream world.

Plenty of time in retirement to do all the things you wanted to do? You’ll be in poor health or tied to someone who is that requires 24 hour care.

As I grew up, I did my best to give my parents time alone to pursue their own happiness. I was never home and that was my contribution to family happiness.
