The cat’s face in P4 is heartbreaking.

One of the few times when the infamous Bushmiller 4 a.m. moon is at least plausible time-wise, though not directionally from panel 1 to panels 3 & 4.

Big noises scare them silly….

Female cats have an instinct to do that every morning just before sunrise, around 5:00 a.m. or so, to announce their territory. They also do it as a mating call when they are in heat. Males almost never “caterwaul”. Some fun cat facts you probably didn’t want to know. :)

Funny right now some stupid cats are outside doing just this.

Gee, you guys are sure smarter than me! All I noticed was Sluggo’s shoe “mysteriously” switches from his left Buster Brown to his RIGHT one without any explanation…but I concentrate on the minutiae! :-P
