We have five cats so we usually don’t put up a Christmas tree

Oldest granddaughter wants a tree really bad this year, we might have to hang it from the ceiling

I only have one cat, but she loves to climb, so I hung the tree with bare wires for the lights. Worked well immediately. Only downside is the smell of burned cat hair. Will go away by Xmas, I hope.

Fake tree can go up now (or even sooner). Cut tree needs to wait a bit longer to reduce drying out and fire risk.
