Reaganomics do not work. The rich have no empathy with the middle class and below. Trump raised the bar on taxes to the middle class and below and lowered the taxes for the rich more so than he says. He cannot speak the truth even under pressure. That the pool has no water in it it’s not surprising because if the water is representing empathy or compassion or respect for the middle class and below there is none. They don’t hear us. They do not want to know what we think. They do not want to know what we need and they don’t want to know anything about us that might be an inconvenience to them. All they want from us is our labor. They pay us and then take the money back through taxes. It’s no wonder that a white supremacist who believes that Nazis and the KKK are good people is the president of this country and whose friends are all like him. They have a mindset image of pre-revolution Russia where the serfs were tied to the land to serve the nobility. It’s an image I think they would like to see here with themselves as the nobility and the rest of us as the serfs.
Most of the Plutocrats are what Jefferson warned us against about a formation of “natural aristocracy” in this country. And that we must be sure to keep it from growing and accruing influence till we have lost our country without firing a shot to despots.
