So, continuing the saga of the Cat Flock and the Lynx…
Late last night, the wife hears something going across the kitchen roof. “Too heavy to be a cat, doesn’t sound like a raccoon” she says to herself.
Grabs a flashlight, heads outside.
There’s the Lynx on the kitchen roof, above it on a vantage point is the Head Cat – he’s ready to rumble with it and defend his home and family. A standoff.
The Lynx, seeing the wife, makes its unhurried exit. The Head Cat stays on station the rest of the night performing his job.
Now, the Head Cat is no ordinary cat. He has already convinced us that he’s our first Head Cat reincarnated (long story but he has us thinking the reincarnation might well exist – otherwise conventional explanations need to be far too improbable to account for it) and Head Cat #1 was a formidable fighter (he sent a Doberman to the vet) who was totally used to Bobcats and regularly stopped them from messing with him and his.
And now, Head Cat #2 is showing exactly the same amount of moxie and attitude.
The late, great Cass’ brother Timon went to the vet’s today for some (already scheduled a couple of months ago) dental treatment. Happy to say he came through it fine – minus six teeth. Poor guy!

There is something about Chesney that I love. He’s a typical cat, always looking for food.

Graham – TY for the proper use of the contraction “there’re”. I get so very annoyed at people when they don’t use contractions properly.
