Nothing’s new. in 1920, (pre-AC) my grandmother found the maid sitting in the kitchen with feet propped on a shelf of the open frig door. Her explanation was it was hot and she was cooling off.Don’t know whether the maid was fired or not.
“Rodger Dodger” was an interesting film.
I can hear “Powerhouse” by Raymond Scott playing in the background here. Look that one up if you’re not familiar with it.
