    It would be perfect if Obamacare makes it and those three don’t.

    Improvements like “single payer”, and limiting excessive profits from big pharma, big insurance with CEOs making several, okay, a LOT of millions a year, and corporate hospital “caregivers”, good makeovers there.

    Republicans have no health care plan.

    Never did.

    They DO NOT WANT people to get health care unless they can pay for it.

    //

    Trump has no idea what to do about health care except to demand something incredible, beautiful, tremendous, etc. from Congress so he can sign something and declare it to be a ‘win’.

    He sits and waits to sign something he has no interest in what it contains.

    //

    Trump Disciples may figure that out some day. Not yet, though.

    I think you give them too much credit, I don’t think they will ever figure it out.

    Maybe some day this republic will have representatives that represent the people instead of ideologies?

    The operation was a failure, the patient lived.

    If Republicans want to be America’s heroes they will vote on single payer.

    @JohnSallySullivan, would it help to know that so-called Obamacare is a REPUBLICAN plan from first to last? Developed by the Heritage Foundation, implemented in Massachusetts by Mitt Romney, and the ACA had 200 revisions made by REPUBLICAN members of Congress before they suddenly decided it was evil because it might give a Democrat a “win.” Obama didn’t want this plan. He preferred single-payer and didn’t even propose it, then tried a nonprofit government-backed insurance company to cover everyone the insurance industry didn’t want, and the REPUBLICANS shot that down. So he picked a REPUBLICAN plan.

    That’s the reason the GOP can’t come up with anything better — this WAS their best shot.

    Why shouldn’t we have the same insurance as our representatives in Congress? Aren’t we equal to the representatives who represent us? Is that insurance paid for by our taxes? Because they don’t want us to have what they have? Because they’re the big important boys on the hill?

    It is amazing how many of those who keep shouting “SOCIALISM” don’t know what it means, but are against it because their preacher told them that it was created by Satan to destroy “America and Religion”.

    @CDHPC2, nonsense. Obama was always willing to sacrifice the best choice for an “at least it’s better than we have now” choice. That’s what he did here. Read my post above. I’ll say it again: this is a REPUBLICAN plan, designed to help the insurance industry rather than introduce real savings. Obama thought it would be better than nothing — and indeed it is. It just isn’t ideal.

    And explain why “socialized medicine” is a bad thing anyway? Every nation IN THE WORLD with socialized medicine has far cheaper cost per person (ours is the most expensive by far — 50% higher than #2 PRIOR to Obamacare), on average a higher health rating than ours (we’re about #27), and unlike us they cover everybody.

    I disagree only in that Obama wanted to dump Single Payer without using it to bargain or we would have gotten the govt back door which his way was eliminated leaving the Republican plan we have.

    They tried to stop it, they put in their amendments, they tried to defund it, they lied about it, they blocked it and obstructed it. They promised to repeal it and replace it. they tried and tried. They do not have the political will to take away American’s health care and election season is only getting closer.
