They’re both telling the truth – albeit in different ways.

Holly just think if your mom did not want kids you would not be here. Your mom has a lot of love for both you girls plus your cousins. Ones here commenting are glad their not parents have to remember this is just a comic strip and not all kids are terriers.

“When kids aren’t a pain in the neck they’re a lump in the throat” This was by a Dad of I think 6 or so kids. I have 4 (adults now) and it is so true. Was it worth it? Yes, even when they were being a pain in the neck. Love my kids dearly and always have and always will. I took care of them because they’re worth the effort. Every ounce of effort.

Very true, everyone. My kids are really good in general, but there are frustrations almost daily. However, they have made me a better person, and they are the reason that I get excited about each day.

II love Holly’s contented smile in the last panel. That would be one of those moments of extreme maturity that all children demonstrate. Occasionally. ;)

I’m on the fence. There’s the fact that they are a lot of work, and I’m not sure if I would make a good father. But if the time comes, and if God wills, I wouldn’t mind having a son or daughter.
Of course, I need to find that special lady first.

Not to worry Holly, you live in comic world so you will always be the same age forever.

Please don’t talk people into having children. As has been pointed out, they are a tremendous amount of work and they require enormous dedication. If the parents aren’t willing to make these sacrifices, it’s the children that suffer.
Children should be raised by parents who are well prepared for them, not by reluctant couples who were talked into having them by family or friends.
