America First is the mantra of the Nationalist Socialist Republican Party. I am old enough to remember the bumper sticker: “America Love it or Leave it.” I am not old enough to remember the 1776 bumper sticker, “His Royal Majesty’s Colonies, Love Them or Leave Them.” There were some people who did neither; they decided to stay and fight. We have a name for such trouble makers: we call them Patriots.
The first discusses how we got to the point that our election system is more a sports event/horse race than a mature election process. The second on how we can actually influence the government (which it sounds as if Strawberry is trying to do). There’s a lot that needs fixing, but we all have to dig in and get busy doing it.
