    THE USURPING PERP – {a rhyme}

    Don’t the Repugnantans HAVE to denounce? -

    - because their president won’t renounce

    himSelf as their party’s prez, their Chief Perp.

    Yet IF they DO dump him, – back he’ll bounce

    and in furied flurries he’ll Tweet to announce

    that “I’m back again the throne to usurp!!”

    HE RESISTS HIS UNSEATING – {a limerick and a coda}

    The Donald’s tenure is fleeting

    toward ignominious unseating, -

    - so he steps up his flouncings

    and steps up his pouncings,

    rather than admit his defeating.

    … Coda:

    When we turn up the heat,

    he meets it by tweet

    to defensively bleat

    that his critics mistreat.

    If Donald Trump decides to tease us with the idea of his leaving office, he might consider singing the Groucho Marx song, “Hello, I Must Be Going,” from “Animal Crackers”:

    Who would sing the Margaret Dumont part? I suggest a male Republican in drag. Mitch McConnell? Paul Ryan? Honorary Republican Vladimir Putin?

    Drop him! Then lose your balance, and tumble in after him.

    Just like Sandy Hook, I keep wondering what it takes to cause change. So fiiiinally the Repugnantcans value their jobs over party unity. (No great surprise.) Next they might actually care about the public.

    Naaah.

    Conversations between Flynn and Kislyak accelerated after the Nov. 8 vote as the two discussed establishing a back channel for communication between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin that could bypass the U.S. national security bureaucracy, which both sides considered hostile to improved relations, four current U.S. officials said.Let’s repeat that: A back channel to bypass U.S. national security bureaucracy. Which has a parallel in Trump’s bypassing American media while allowing Russian media inside the Oval Office, when he met with Kislyak and Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov.

    If they wait like that long enough, they will find their positions reversed.

    Waiting for Julian Assange to publish all the leaks from Trump’s regime – just to prove his claims that Wikileaks isn’t biased.

    Are we certain that #45 doesn’t provide cover for the GOP’s ongoing war on the Middle and Lower Classes?

    I’m usually on later, but I will repeat yesterday’s note:

    A Tribute to OC et al. (a feeble attempt!)

    We live in troubling times,

    You all must keep up with your rhymes!

    So continue to dump

    On the stench of the tRump,

    And of his partners in crime!
