I have sometimes avoided stepping on bugs. Not stoned snakes, nor cheerfully shot crows, nor jack rabbits. Nor coyotes, and not edible species, either. Not hungry, besides there aren’t as many as there used to be. I was sort of raised to be a killer, I guess. Got over it.

The earthworm chopped in half will regenerate both halves into two whole new earthworms. That is something I learned in Biology about 60 years ago.
