Babies are generally chubby. My younger daughter was such a fat baby, with rolls upon rolls, but now she’s a tall, slender 12-year-old! I joke to myself that she was put in a taffy-pull!
I never really thought it about it before, but Garfield isn’t drawn as a fat cat anymore, especially in comparison to the early strips. By cartoon standards, he looks almost thin these days.
