Hobbes really has nowhere to go, so why should he take them off?

If you insist on sleeping next to a tiger, you have to expect this sort of thing now and again.

Calvin tastes so bad, Hobbes? Next time, don’t smell, just devour him.

Someone had inexplicably left a huge stuffed tiger next to my apt. complex’s dumpster-was so lifelike it startled me for a second. Shame if the garbagemen simply unceremoniously toss it into the truck tomorrow morning (did a dog pee on it or something?)…

How does Hobbes put Calvin in his mouth if he can’t actually open it in real life?

It would have been funny if Hobbes said “Pyjamas are for sissies!” It’s just the sort of thing he would say.

For some reason, Hobbes looks as though he’s just stepped in from an early “Mad”.
