I hope the president-elect has a great Christmas and New Year’s day and when in office can inspire Congress to do all the things ( he implied during his campaign ) to IMPROVE the circumstances of the middle class or at very least DO NO HARM to the status quo.
The problem in Israel is that they are currently under the dictatorship of a neo-Nazi who believes that since a minute percentage of their population survived genocide, they therefore have the right to commit genocide on whomever they wish. And they have chosen their equally Semitic neighbors who have land they covet in direct disobedience to their ten highest laws; and if anyone objects, it is “because” they are anti-Semitic. And Republicans believe this nonsense.

He was also not the one to dream up the suicide defense.

He indirectly pointed out the flaw in Mutual Assured Destruction and the need to develop defenses such as Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative hoped to develop. At some point a Trump might be in charge — or a Putin or a bin Laden.

A small scale version of it protected the people of Israel from a determined ballistic attack a bit back.

Yes, I know many wish it had failed to protect those Jewish women and children and native Palestinians, but if nukes were headed your way, wouldn’t you prefer they be destroyed ere reaching you?
