Why does he get up early when he doesn’t have to? She should wake up when he is ready and go to sleep when he is ready. Too much coffee and the body adjusts to it and it no longer works. Just like cocaine.

Maybe Adam needs to be up to watch over baby Nick when Laura leaves for work. Or he routinely gets up when Laura does (probably around the same time every day), so the very fact that she gets out of the bed wakes him up.

Most brewers today have a timer you can set the night before. Set the timer to start brewing 10 minutes before you usually get up, the next morning you wake up and smell the coffee, so to speak.

I want a coffee pot shaped like Adam’s head!

He’s like my husband, and our new coffeemaker is even slower than the last one. Sometimes I think I’ll never hear the beep that signals it’s ready. But the coffee it makes is really good even if you do have to wait for it!

Get a Keurig for immediate single servings or a Bunn if you want more than one cup almost instantly!

I use a 15-oz French Press. 30 seconds for the Hot Shot to boil the water, and 3 minutes to brew, press, and pour. Meanwhile Miester Kafe has barely started to dribble.

I use the old Keurig. It keeps the water hot in the tank so I get hot coffee immediately without having to wait for it.

Make sure to chew your coffee at least 20 times before you swallow!

Hey, don’t knock it if you haven’t tried it; besides, if you chew a few beans with a chunk of Hershey’s chocolate, it is really quite tasty…
