@NPP: The cartoon was done immediately upon me learning of Glenn’s passing, as tributes to him were pouring in from around the world. In fact, I was working on a different cartoon at the time of his death. I stopped in the middle of it, and did a cartoon in his honor for publishing the next morning on our website. The cartoon was sent out at that time through the syndicate to designated recipients who have published it according to their own timetables You are a totally classless act.
What beautiful art! As much as I regret his passing, Mr. Glenn lived a long time and did it gloriously. It just makes me feel really old since I was just a sixth-grader when he was first launched. Thanks for the beautiful tribute.
And here is the attached printed tribute to Glenn that accompanied the cartoon: http://www.azcentral.com/story/opinion/op-ed/steve-benson/2016/12/09/benson-john-glenn/95191296/
I was going to point out that the sun would have to be at his back, hence the front would be in shadow, but he is illuminated by earthlight, so it works out.
Not likely. NPP can put a grammatical (if not quite factual or logical) sentence together. Trump rarely does, and if he does by accident, it must be followed by “sad”.
“Once Trump’s impeached, cartoonists will be sad. So sad, people. So sad, so sad. Cartoon materiel without Trump will be a disaster. A disaster, people. Believe me. Sad. So sad”

A star of the space program, and an excellent Senator. Might be time to read The Right Stuff again, Tom Wolfe’s last great book.

Again, very nicely executed.

“P.S.—This is cartooning, not rocket science.”

And very good cartooning at that.

But they’ll have 3 years or more to enjoy Pence.
