Yep, describes the election results perfectly. Also helps the administration to ignore the needs of the majority of its citizens.

I’d love to see them do the right think, and put Hillary in the Oval Office. History would be best if made this time around.

    Natter, natter, natter!

    .

The EC will not be abolished any time soon. That would require a constitutional amendment, which would have to pass 2/3 of Congress. Please stop the silly whining. The “red” states are not going to give up their only hope.

    .

Nor is it likely that Hillary could win the EC on recounts. She would need to win on recounts in 3 states that she lost. She might get one, but more is really unlikely.

    .

Deal with reality and prepare for the next election in 2 years.

Thee Constitution provided checks on the stupidity of the masses. The Electoral College is one of those checks.

Many of us Democrats have not forgotten the election of 2000 either. The Electoral College should have been removed at that time so that we would could have had majority rule (like so many other countries) in 2016. The rules should change. When FDR was elected 4 times, some folks decided the POTUS should be limited to 2 terms. When JFK nominated RFK as as attorney general, it was decided that should not happen again. The EC is a holdover from the history of slavery in this country, to appease the slaveholders in the states that said that a slave was 3/5 of a person. Those who advocate for the EC are clearly on the wrong side of history.

Has any of you looked at the voting chart? Hilliary only won 146 counties in the US. Second, we are not in a democracy, but a representative republic.

The fact that 5000 cases of voter fraud have already been discovered is a promising turn of events for liberals and anyone concerned with gay rights, healthcare reform, fair taxes, poverty, state marijuana laws, women’s rights, media independence, climate change or education.

In re: NPP’s claim of 3 million illegal votes

    http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2016/nov/18/blog-posting/no-3-million-undocumented-immigrants-did-not-vote-/

The original source was a guy named Phillips who sort of cobbled it together from unrelated bits (no real data) and was posted on Infowars. That should pretty much tell you all you need to know about the provenance of the bit of faux news. It’s garbage, only garbage.

And Bennett is just fanning the flames here. A 2 million vote difference out of some 126 million is not a knock-out win.

it’s not over until December 19th when the electors cast their votes. You never know when a few will go rogue. Besides, we’re recounting a few states. We’ll see.
