Garfield, the legally observed holiday is the 26th. I have the day off from work. Besides, some cultures still celebrate Christmas for 12 days, so there are still plenty of opportunities for partying! :)
The last ‘regular’ job I had limited our Christmas celebration to a half hour after lunch before we had to return to making them a profit. That place really killed the human spirit.
But Christmas isn’t over. The 12 Days of Christmas are the 12 days from Christmas Day to Epiphany. In some cultures it lasts until the Presentation of the Lord on Feb. 2, and if you want to be really liturgical, it doesn’t technically end until the Baptism of the Lord (second Sunday of February).
Garfield,if you were a Roman Catholic, you would only be on the second day of celebrating Christmas! The Church continues the solemn celebration for the following seven days, known as the “Octave of Christmas”.

When I was a kid, I wished Christmas would come twice a year so we wouldn’t have to wait so long for it to get here. Now, once a year is enough.

Merry to Garfield is kicking Odie off the table only once a day instead of twice.

Christmas is not just one day. There are 12 days of Christmas, running from dusk on 24 December to dusk on 5 January.
Christmas is NOT over, only the present giving is over.

I didn’t want Christmas to end either but I know there are plenty of people who are breathing a big sigh of relief that it’s over.
