So sorry about the loss of your client. Let me give you a virtual hug to show you that you are not alone with your sadness and to show you my deep admiration about the good job you do! I know from own experiences about the hopeless and sad feelings when losing a person who is entrusted to your care. I have been there when I was nurse’s aide at a senior home.

Annie, you are so courageous, you do a wonderful job! Oliver will love you more and more!

Yesterday, I asked people for good news. Well, I do have a bit of good news to go with my bad news. Which do you want to hear first? Good news first – In addition to Office 4.0.1, I also have Office 2.1 on my computer. So I went into that last night and I looked up my documents there and to my great relief, I found my journal and manuscript and all my other documents! However, I still can not access anything that I have saved on my flash drive. I even tried a test, copying some of my documets onto a flash drive while I was in Office 2.1 but when I tried to open them, I got that same stupid error message “this requested operation requires elevation”. Dang! I hope that once I finally get my Internet at home, I’ll be able to fix whatever ails my computer so I can read all this stuff I’m copying here. I love it that you all are giving me advice that I need.

By the way, I just got my computer 2 years ago when my old computer died (motherboard trouble). This was a used, updated computer with Windows Vista installed, plus the office 2.1 and even though I was not Interner connected, they made it Internet ready by putting in Internet Explorer. They also put in Windows Defender and they programmed it to run every day to check for harmful software and to keep it from running on my computer. And it isdoing just that. Is Windows Defender adequate protection from Malware and viruses and all that other nasty stuff out there?

Another Saturday night – I wonder when I get home from work tonight (around 11:30 PM) if I will find the Saturday night football game is being dubbed in Spanish again. It was in English last week, Spanish the week before that. It’s been switching off about every other week – just for me. And I have 3 PBS stations, 21-1, 21-2 and 21-3, and on one of those stations, I have not had sound for several weeks now. I like some of the shows on 21-2 and 21-3 but don’t watch anything on 21-1. So of course, it is 21-3 that has had no sound. Only for me – everyone else has sound on that station. Then to have my computer glitch – what is it – do I have a ghost playing around with my TV and computer? i’ve been in that same house my entire life (58 years!) and never encoutered such ghostly doings. I wonder what I have to do to make that ghost release my TV andcomputer from these problems (BTW – I don’t really believe I have a ghost!)
