Michael Dornellas hypnotized a 10 foot long dusky shark off the coast of Florida in order to remove a fish hook from the predator's mouth! High schooler Hasaan Hawthorne won first place in the Alabama State Wrestling Championship- ending the season with a perfect 37-0 record- despite having no lower legs! On July 12, 1961, peaches fell from the sky in Shreveport, Louisiana!

In an R. Crumb comic strip, meatballs fell from the sky. Reading this makes me wonder if this news story was his inspiration for that strip?

No, but it did inspire “Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs.”

How do you hypnotize a shark? Very carefully!

That makes sense. With no lower legs, he uses his arms for everything, and gets a full body workout everywhere he goes.

I am surprised that Shrillary said DT wouldn’t be a good choice because he couldn’t prevent a hurricane. I suppose she and O just didn’t want to mess with Matthew. What audacity to think they could prevent a natural disaster!

Big deal! I’ve been a scuba diver for over 40 years! I have grabbed sharks by their tails, punched them in the nose, and I even rode one down in the Bahamas! They didn’t even turn to look at me! Sharks are wimps! They don’t really care what you do to them!

Clearly, legs are overrated in wrestling. Martial artists are actually divided on whether kicks help.

Curious for more details, I started tyoing in the name michael dornellas & before I finished Google had two options showing: “Michael Dornellas” and “Michael Dornellas obituary” For a moment I wondered if his attemp hadn’t worked out well!

Is there any historical record at all of a tornado going thru a peach orchard in late spring, early summer?
