The Buckets by Greg Cravens for July 23, 2016
Transcript:
I had a theory that maybe this was my universe- it sprang into being with me, and it'll only last as long as I'm here. But, y'know, people remember the world before I got here, so I guess the theory is wrong. That's ok. Wrong or not, all your life you'll meet people who believe that theory for themselves, very quietly.

It’s a perfectly workable presumption, that the whole thing ceases to exist when you die. The “reality” is an illusion of your mind. If you don’t agree, you need only prove me wrong.

First derivative of that theory is that “everyone and everything is here for my amusement.” Seems plausible.

It’s not actually inconsistent for “your” universe to be full of illusory people who have the same idea as you. Even if you’re the only one who’s right. (You’re not, of course; if either of us is, it’s me. Cogito ergo sum – “I think, therefore it adds up”. But who am I to shatter your illusions?)
