The survival of the Country or an Individual is meaningless, the Party Victorious is all that is important!

The GOP thinks it can control Trump the same way that the “National Socialist German Workers’ Party” thought they could control Hitler.

The elephants don’t care what he calls himself as long as they “win” Even if it means re-writing their platform, they will “win” Even if it means giving up their ideals and morals they will “win” Even if it means they don’t do anything.

True, I guess. Of course, depending on who Trump chooses as VP, they can always impeach Trump as soon as they find some pretext.

“I know Donald, I’ve known him a long time, and it gets under his skin if you start writing about the reasons he won’t disclose his returns,” said one prominent hedge fund manager who declined to be identified by name so as not to draw Trump’s ire. “You would see that he doesn’t have the money that he claims to have and he’s not paying much of anything in taxes.”

“Trump has a tendency to value his brand at a very high amount, but these are usually intangible valuations just pulled out of thin air,” said Steve Stanganelli, a certified financial planner at Clear View Wealth Advisors. “And he appears to be reporting gross revenue. There is a huge difference between that and net income. What really matters is what you put in the bank.”Estimates of Trump’s net worth range from a low of $150 million to $250 million asserted by journalist Timothy O’Brien in a 2005 book that earned him a libel lawsuit from Trump that was eventually dismissed

“He’s a classic example of a guy that, when he wants to get a loan or tell you how wealthy he is, he’ll tell you something is worth a bazillion dollars. But when he wants to get taxes reduced, he’ll tell you it’s worth $2.95.”

Trump is neither a Nazi nor a neo-Nazi (try saying that three times fast…….), but he does have definite elements of fascism in his makeup. Yet mostly he is incoherent. He is a raving egomaniac and very probably a sociopath. It is very true that comparing him to Hitler is both lazy and insulting to the victims of that monster. It is also very true that Trump is a clear and present danger to the United States of America.

mikefive and narrowminded-There are some of us who know history and have seen the films of the time when Hitler was rising to power. We can see the similarities. Of course if you refuse to accept the historical references because you don’t like what history says, like the Iranians (I think it was) who claimed the wholesale slaughter of Jews during WWII never happened you will never be able to see the similarities. As it has been said: "Those who refuse to learn from the past are condemed to repeat it. -Jeffrey cartwright-No the two are not interchangeable, however the similarities are too close to be ignored.

I too don’t like the comparison of Trump to Hitler. He is much more accurately depicted as Mussolini, the lip, the hat, and the ludicrous bravado and lies, and the black shirts were much more like Trump’s dudes. HItler had a vehemence and seriousness that Trump also lacks, and actually had actual plans to accomplish his objectives, like bllitzkeig which worked for a while. Of course the French military with tanks having one speed forward and six in reverse didn’t hurt his plans.

^And oh, yes, Mussolini was a real military leader, wiping out those spear-checkers in Ethiopia with one of the most advanced air forces of the time, hmm, think “Shock and Awe” while we’re at it.

@charlie555, who said (for some odd reason, the following):I really do not understand people finding Trump fascist-like unless they are people who think that anyone who speaks with confidence and doesn’t care what his enemies think about him is a fascist. Do you think Rush Limbaugh is fascist-like? I don’t see any difference between this blowhard and Trump.

You really don’t understand historical or political terms, if you think that people object to Trump because he speaks “with confidence.” Any dunce in the corner of any classroom can speak “with confidence” without knowing the tenth part of what the hell he is talking about. The same with Trump. And, yes, if you actually pay attention to Trump’s economic and political ideas (which, to be fair, knowing Trump, he will change tomorrow and change back the next day), he does seem to have elements of fascism in his makeup. Note that I am neither calling him a neo-fascist nor a proto-fascist nor a crypto-fascist. I am saying that he seems to have elements of fascism in his makeup, which probably derives from his insanity.

Fascism is the marriage of economic and military power under the authority of a “Supreme” leader. If ANY economic entity wanted to move forward, it needed to be TOTALLY in bed with the “Supreme” leader, or at least pretend to.And there was no advancing corporate self-interest apartfrom the interests of the state.
