Lost my phone last week. Left it somewhere in Menards. Someone found it, but kept it instead of returning it. Wiped it by remote and then had the carrier fry the sim card. Insurance replaced the phone for $50. That’s what really hurt. Not in the budget.

Apple’s version is really good.Of course you need to a have another device, but I’ve used it successfully.
