Does Nelson know what a gene pool is?

This is the only time for you to NOT follow your grand dad’s advice, Nelson. Like what the late Casey Kasem always said at the end of his radio show, “Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.”

High hopes usually get squashed anyway.

Earl’s being refreshingly honest—keeps Nelson from growing up on dreams only to be disappointed, disillusioned, and jaded against the world.

After Nelson gets his PhD, he can go out and get a minimum wage job. That’s what Earl is saying.

Had it right in the beginning. Hard Work will trump just about any of those limitations. C’mon Nelson!!

He is right about a lot of it, but only some of it you have control over. My imagination is boundless…however money is very limited. When I was younger I never wanted to work for someone else, I wanted to start my own business. Imagine how hard that is with zero dollars and banks laugh at you trying to get a small business start up loan. Genes may or may not affect you based on if they are helpful or harmful or benign. Other people is easy enough if they get in your way, go around them and move on.

Bummer!!!

Grandpa is smarter than most of you think!

I don’t really have high hopes for my life either. If I did and I ended up not achieving them. It would depress and disappoint me even more so in my experience it’s never a good idea to be so positive about your life.xxx

I’ve heard it said that the key to success is to matter most to those that matter most to you.

Dad said, " work for someone else ‘til you’ve enough money, information, and perseverance to start your own business."

You never know what you can do until you try and succeed..You never know what you can’t do until you try and fail.Even failure just means that way didn’t work that time.

Lack of money, not lack of idea’s…oh I also lack a good saleman approach but I happen to know with a million dollars I could start a successful business 100% that would not fail.

It isn’t easy to get started, even people who just want to open a McDonalds franchise or something need at least a half million to get started.
