Ok, you can stay up an extra hour but you will have to pay the mortgage this month.

He thinks those are limitations.? Life is harder as an adult. Don’t find out the hard way.

Eh, I dunno about that. As an adult, I can generally go to work with far less fear of assault and robbery than I ever knew at school, I have more free time than I did when I was young and much more personal freedom, and while money may be tight, I usually know where my next meal’s coming from. These are all immense improvements over childhood.

When you’re six years old, you never realize until you’re older just how life is skewed in your favor. Enjoy it, Calvin, and keep those memories.

I also wish I could stay up later doing fun stuff but in reality I need all the sleep I can get.

The older you get the prospect of an early night becomes less of a threat and more of an ideal situation.

Those who use the excuse “the world isn’t fair” usually have a stake in maintaining the injustice.

I told our girls, and now our grandkids, to never be in too much a hurry to grow up! You only have one chance at being a kid and getting away with it, so don’t blow that chance by growing up too fast!

Here endeth the lesson for today…

Ah, Calvin finally learned the most important lessons in the world: 1) Life isn’t fair; and2) It’s never fair in your favor either…

I find it funny that the people who say “life isn’t fair” are usually the ones making life unfair.

We didn’t ask that question much, we were to busy running around being kids; without video and electronic distractions. Time for bed was welcome. :)
